My name is Chris Baker, and photography has become my way of seeing the world. Whether I’m carrying a Leica loaded with film or shooting digitally, I’m drawn to the small, ordinary moments that might otherwise slip by unnoticed. A certain light, a fleeting expression, a quiet detail—if it catches my eye, I feel compelled to capture it.
I love calling Iowa home. Life here reminds me that beauty isn’t only found in faraway places—it’s in the small-town streets, open fields, and simple rhythms of daily life. Traveling the world has only deepened my appreciation for how universal these moments are. Wherever I go, there’s always something worth pausing for, framing, and remembering.
For me, photography is a way of keeping a record of this life we all share. Each image is a fragment of time, a memory preserved in a way words can’t capture.
